Set to the music by Mohamed Mounir created for The Pharaohs' Golden Parade in Cairo April 2021. This film was created in the spirit of the music and as an experimental film.

In the full glory of Raqs Sharqi, seven dance artists perform to the beautiful music composed for Nagua Fouad recoded live by the Arabesque (now YRA) Orchestra in 1996. Filmed at 20 different locations in Southern Ontario, Canada .

This Egyptian folklore piece exemplifies the difference in character of the Falahi people of Lower Egypt and the Saiid people of Upper Egypt and how they beautifully compliment each other.

Prayer to Nuit

A pray to the ancient Egyptian goddes, “Nut”, of the night sky who swallows the “Ra”, the sun, in the evening and gives birth again every morning to the sun. A form of this goddess is known in the “Book of the Law” as “Nuit”.

Al Farha

Master percussionist Hany Morgan of Egypt composed a percussion piece for Yasmina Ramzy in 2019. He is playing all of the six different percussion instruments filmed in Cairo, Egypt with 8 dance artists all filmed separately in Toronto, Canada

Leilit Hob

The first video created by Yasmina Ramzy in September 2020. Each of the 16 artists were filmed separately due to Covid. Eight dance artists were filmed in Toronto and eight musicians were filmed in Syria, Lebanon, Germany, USA and Canada on their mobile phones and their audio was mixed to make the track for the video. Continue to watch each artist express why they participated.

Al Qamar

All five choreographies of “Prayer To Nuit”, “Al Farha”, “Oyoun”, “Upper Lower Egypt”, and “Sufi Realms” as they were originally intended in sequence. First created for the theatre in 2020 and then reimagined for film in 2021 because of Covid.
