How Does “Workshop C” Work:

Be one of Yasmina’s dance artists in the creative process and witness first-hand the true and profound potential of Raqs Sharqi.

PROGRAMME (12 hours often over a weekend):

1/ Experiment with music and styles while Yasmina assesses the skills of the dancers as well as emotional responses - then choose music together (3 hours, Friday evening)

2/ Create ensemble choreography with elaborate staging, intricate position changes and emotional nuance (6 hours, Saturday)

3/ Polish & rework sections where necessary, confirm position changes, rehearse and sync dancers, dress rehearsal (3 hours, Sunday morning)

4/ Perform in studio or theatre (costumes supplied)
